Vinod Kumar, A Paramilitary Officer Dies In Terrorist Attack In Kashmir's Pulwama

Vinod Kumar, an assistant sub-inspector in the Central Reserve Police Force, was taken to a hospital after he sustained injuries in the attack. He was declared brought dead by the doctors.

Following a terrorist incident in Pulwama, Jammu & Kashmir, a paramilitary officer was murdered in the line of duty on Sunday. This was the second significant assault on security personnel in the previous week.
According to police, the terrorists fired at a check point at the Gangoo border in Pulwama from apple orchards.

After being hurt in the incident, Vinod Kumar, an assistant sub-inspector with the Central Reserve Police Force, was rushed to the hospital. The doctors pronounced him dead when they brought him.

Soon after the incident, the region received immediate reinforcements, and a search operation was started to find the terrorists.

Mushtaq Ahmad, an assistant sub inspector with the Jammu and Kashmir Police, was murdered and two other officers were hurt on Tuesday when terrorists stormed a police checkpoint in Srinagar's Lal Bazar neighbourhood.

Amaq, an ISIS propaganda outlet, took credit for the attack and posted a video that appeared to have been captured by assailants' bodycams. More of these attacks were also threatened.

Due to the impending Amarnath yatra, attacks have occurred while security forces are on high alert. Numerous thousands of more soldiers have been stationed around the yatra route in addition to the current large security apparatus working in the Valley.

The security forces have carried out anti-terrorist operations in the past six months, killing over 100 terrorists, the majority of them were local recruits, according to the police.
